Product Review: KIKO Color Fever Eyeshadow Palette in #100 Unexpected Rosy Taupe
Where to purchase: KIKO stores and online at kikocosmetics.com
Price: $20 for 4 x 0.7 g/ 0.02 oz
Made in Italy
Description from the website: Exclusive palette with four shades of baked eyeshadow in vibrant, radiant colours. Eyeshadow can be used wet or dry. Thanks to pearly, metallic and satin finishes, the palette allows a variety of looks to be created: from more natural make-up to the most sought after. The baked formula, which is rich in hi-tech components, emphasizes the purity of the colour, guaranteeing an intense and even colour performance. The texture enables a high level of pigments to be released, even when used dry. When used wet, the colour is even more rich and reflections are accentuated. The eyeshadows are ultra-comfortable, soft and silky to apply.
Available in 4 colour assortments designed to enhance different eye colours:
100 Unexpected Rosy Taupe, ideal for all eye colours
101 Coral Burgundy, ideal for green or brown eyes
102 Jungle Green Variations, ideal for light or dark brown eyes
103 Grey Night Blue, ideal for blue or dark brown eyes
Ophthalmologically tested.

Thoughts: I've always been curious about KIKO Cosmetics when I first saw it on YouTube last year. Thanks to my friend I finally got to try one.
Here's how the palette looks open. It comes with a mirror.

Here's a swatch of the eyeshadows on my hand from top row to bottom row from left to right.
Now for looks I did with this palette...
Look #1:
I applied top left on the lid, top right on the crease and outer v, and then blended it out with bottom right to darken the outer v.
Here's the same look at a different angle.
Here's an overall look. I have Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in Satisfy on the cheeks, BeBella Glow Dust Palette on the high points of the cheeks/tip of the nose/cupid's bow, and L'Oreal La Palette Lip in Nude on the lips.
Look #2:
I applied top right on the lid, and blended out with bottom right on the crease and outer v.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, I actually like the packaging. It's small enough to fit my hand. Not only that, it's simple,sturdy, and there's no finger marks on the packaging. I also like that the opening/closure is easy and I don't have to dig my fingers into it. It's very travel-friendly and it comes with a mirror. You do need your own brush or you can use your fingers if you like. Secondly and like all baked eyeshadows, it has that compacted only baked eyeshadows have. I hope that makes sense. It's kind of hard to explain or at least it is for me. With that said, it's easy to apply. I used a brush that I have at home and the brush grabbed the shadows easily. It was smooth on the lids and blended well. It also didn't look like one eyeshadow. You can distinguish the colors on the eyes but at the same time, the colors worked well together. I only used it dry so I don't know how it is wet. Third, this is a great all year round palette. Since it's in the neutral family, it'll look good on daily basis but you can also smoke it out with the dark color from the bottom right. With that said, I was impressed with the pigmentation. It's pretty opaque and the top left has rosy specks. Some shadows you can notice the specks when you swatch on the hand but when applied on the lids, it's gone. This shadow doesn't. You can see the specks especially from the pictures from Look #1! Lastly, it did not smudge or come off throughout the day. It lasted all day on me!
Pros:
* Small, simple, sturdy, and no finger marks on the packaging.
* Do not have to dig my fingers into the opening/closure.
* Travel-friendly.
* Comes with a mirror.
* Compacted, baked eyeshadows.
* Easy to apply.
* Brush grabs the shadows easily.
* Smooth and blends well together.
* Can be used wet and dry.
* Great daily use palette that can be used neutral to smokey.
* Opaque.
* Noticeable specks.
* Lasted all day.
Cons:
* No brush.
Would repurchase: Yes.
