NIVEA Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose Kiss

When I heard Nivea was coming out with flavored lip products in a tin, I knew I had to get them. So when I saw these at my local drugstores, I grabbed two out of the four they came out with.

I bought Rasberry Rose Kiss and Caramel Cream Kiss. The other two were Smooth Kiss, no flavor, and Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss, not a fan of vanilla.
When I opened the Caramel Cream Kiss, the scent was way too strong for me. I ended up giving this to my dad.
Here's the ingredient for Caramel Cream Kiss. They're all similar but slightly different.

Where to purchase: drugstores, mass merchandiser, and online at niveausa.com
Price: $3.99 for 0.59 oz/ 16.7 g

Made in Belgium

Description from the website:
* Enriched with Shea Butter and Almond Oil to intensely moisturize and soothe dry lips for a long-lasting care.
* Rich formula melts onto lips providing long-lasting nourishment to make all your kisses better.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: Out of all the flavors that came out, I was most excited about the Raspberry Rose Kiss. It's actually the only one I ended up liking! Before I talk about the product, lets talk about the packaging. When I first saw this product at the drugstore, I was shocked how tiny the product was. I was expecting it to be the same size as Smith's Rosebud Salve.
When I got home and compared them, they're actually not that different in diameter. Nivea is a little bit tinier but not by much.
With width, there's a huge difference. Nivea is half the size of Smith's Rosebud Salve. Then I looked at the net weight, and there isn't that much of a difference. Smith's Rosebud Salve is 0.8 oz/ 22 g and Nivea is 0.59 oz/ 16.7 g. Even though Nivea is tinier, it's easier to carry around. I also like the packaging. It's matte, therefore, you will not see fingerprints. I also cannot see future scratches on the tin. The quality of the picture is gorgeous and well-made. It just reminds me of a matte photograph wrapped around the tin.

Now for the scent, it's heavenly! It smells like raspberry, but it doesn't last that long on the lips. I would say for couple of minutes and then the scent is gone. Either it just disappeared or my nose got used to the scent that I don't notice it anymore.
Here's a swatch of the lip butter. It looks clear, but I was shocked it isn't on my lips. My lip actually turn light pink after applying this product. By the way, my lip is pinker than most people. Everything turns brighter on my pink lips. If you have brown around the edges of your lip, I highly doubt this will turn your lip light pink as it does on me.

Overall opinion... I'm amazed by this product! I was expecting the consistency to be the same as Smith's Rosebud Salve, but it isn't. Nivea is thicker in consistency. So when you apply the lip butter on your lips, you can tell the thickness. It feels like you're applying non-greasy lipstick. It also doesn't feel like a butter as in it melts into your skin and in this case, your lips. It's just layered over it. With Smith's Rosebud Salve, I can feel it sort of melts into your lip especially when it's dry. So with this dry, winter weather I will need to use a lot of Smith's Rosebud Salve. Even though I use a lot, my lip isn't totally conditioned. Compared to other products, I get the best results with Smith's Rosebud Salve until now. Nivea Lip Butter moisturizes my lip like no other! I noticed the difference the first time I applied this product. It's amazing! My dry, cracked lip was heal and felt like my summer lips.

Pros:
* Nivea; a brand I trust.
* Cute packaging; looks like a professional photograph.
* Tiny; easy to carry.
* Matte finish; no fingerprints.
* Fruity scent.
* Color; light pink.
* Hint of light pinkness on the lips.
* Thick consistency; does not bother me.
* Not greasy/sticky.
* Hydrating/moisturizing.

Cons:
* Wish there were more varieties in flavor; wishing for the future.
* Does not melt into your lips.

Would repurchase: Hell yeah!

I'm going to end this post with another of Mariah Carey's Liquid Sand nail polish by OPI.
This is Get Your Number. For some reason, it reminds me of Wizard of Oz and the fairy good witch. Don't ask me why but that's the first thing that came to mind after applying the nail polish. I got more compliments on this color than Stay the Night but I prefer the other one. The other one is more unique!

Heard alot about these! Sounds greaaaaaat, but I'm not too keen on the packaging! I've swatched the liquid sands on my blog and I truly don't like Stay The Nighttttt. It sure is unique but reminds me of magma rock LOL.

I actually like the packaging but the important thing isn't the packaging. It's what is in the inside... hehe~ ;)

Which one is your favorite color from the Liquid Sands Collection? So far I only tried Stay the Night and Get Your Number.

Oh wow, I never realized these products are hard to find. I see it all the time at the drugstores here. Good luck with your search! I'm sure you will find them. :)

By the way, I received my L'Oreal BB Cream and it's in light... hehe~ I did not imagine it to be so tiny. I guess I"m so used to Asian BB Creams... hehe~

My place is a small town up north, I feel like some products are limited? I could be wrong. I don't go out these days. Hahaha. I only visit drugstores during weekends when we get our groceries.

Yes! It is a small tube! Feels like a primer tube, isn't it? I hope you end up liking it.

You don't go out during weekdays? What do you do all day?

Yeah, I was shocked to see how tiny the packaging is. At least or I hope, I can finish it quickly... hehe~ I love finishing products especially when I have so many hanging around. :X

The Liquid Sand Collection isn't easy to remove like all glitter nail polishes, but I find it a bit easier than most glitter polishes. That's just my opinion... hehe~

Hahaha. Eat, sleep, internet, watch, read, eat, sleep...etc hahaha.

Haha. I do that when I'm on a budget, like right now. I'm actually stingy when it comes to myself but for others i'd rather splurge and make them so happy. haha

Wow, I would love to just eat and sleep. How nice to sleep in and not worry about waking up early to go to work. That sounds so nice!
