When I went to the outlet in September 2009, I bought two sample size of Lancome Primordiale Cell Defense Perfecting Serum.  I'm on my second at the moment and I think it's about time I review it.

Product Review: Lancome Primordiale Cell Defense Skin Perfecting Serum

Where to purchase: department stores and online at lancome-usa.com
Price: I can't remember, but I think it was 2 for $5

Made in USA

Direction on the back:  All skin types.  For optimal results, use daily A.M. and P.M. under your Lancome moisturizer.

My thoughts: I've been really into serum since last year.  I would love to try Asian brands, but I cannot get any hold of them that easily... hehe~  For that reason, I keep on buying American brands.  I thought this will be good since it's sample sizes.  If I don't like them, then I don't have to use them.  If I like them, I can buy full sizes next time... hehe~  In the beginning, I love how it felt on my skin.  It felt very smooth and nice on my skin.  As time went on, I didn't see any results.  I didn't see my skin improving but then again I was very lucky I didn't break out.  I read on Makeupalley (click here for the review on this product) that some people broke out.  By the way, this only got 48% that would buy this product again. :/  I didn't think it was that bad, but I wanted to see improvements on my face... hehe~  Maybe it didn't work for me that well because I didn't follow it with a Lancome moisturizer... heh~

Pros:
* It's from a high end department, Lancome, usually they produce good products.
* It's a sample size to try.
* Made my skin soft and smooth.
* I didn't break out.
* It smelled okay.
* It felt cool.

Cons:
* It's from a high end department, Lancome, which is costly.
* I didn't see any result on my skin.
* Didn't use Lancome moisturizer after this product.

Would repurchase: No.
Rating:  2/5 Tobey's Paws

Last week, I went to Victoria's Secret to see if I wanted the free tank top with purchase.  I decided to pass on it and visited the store right across, Forever 21. It was the biggest mistake!
I've been wanting this since I saw it on the Forever 21 website.  I was lucky enough to see it at the store by my house... wheee~  I couldn't pass on this.
While looking around, I saw this butterfly hair pin laying around.  I fell in love with it at first sight... hehe~  I was thinking if I should get it or not.  I decided it's best for me to get it since it was the last one there. :X
Thinking that was the last thing I'll get, I saw this.  I thought it wasn't that cute and then decided to try it out... hehe~  Oh mi gosh it's so cute on the head!... lol~ :X  No more buying hair accessories.  I need to go on a ban!... hehe~ :X

This week they're having a BOGOF (buy one get one free) on any EcoTOOLS at Rite Aid.  I've been wanting to get puffs.
Each pack of puffs are $1.99 or at least that's what it said at Rite Aid... hehe~ So I was thinking I was going to get both pack of puffs for $1.99.  It came out to $0.98. Each pack of puffs was $0.49.  I don't know if that was a mistake or what, but I consider myself lucky... hehe~ :D  Therefore, each puff is less than $0.25!... wheee~ What a good deal!!!

I'm going to end this post with a cute picture of Tobey.
The ribbon from the packaging of Hana Elite 1" Flat Iron (click here for the post) I tied it around Tobey.  It's not animal abuse. He's just a gift for me.

Hi Alyssa!

Long time no comment, will catch up on all your latest posts over the next few days lol.

Thanks for the helpful review, I hate it when HE products don't work or produce any noticeable results. Great accessories! I love the butterfly clip. It's gooooorgeous. Tobey looks soooo cute with his red bow, miss him! He probably doesn't miss me though, he likes having the couch to himself haha.

aww Tobey looks extra handsome with that bow on :) was it easy to tie it around him? my dog doesn't let me put anything on him...not even Easter bunny ears.

I'm starting to buy more accessories too and less makeup. I own like 2 pairs of earrings lol and one of them is a snowman earring from Christmas! XD

The name itself: Cell Defense sounds very HE haha. I'm assuming it has something to do with cells turnover? Does it brighten or do anything?

Ahhh, you always get such good deals! :)

is it too late to join the giveaway? hehehe... why not? i'll go ahead and join then if it's not too late. i figured i could use a nice new iron that'll work either straightening or curling. :)

wow. i'm so glad your comment thingy got fixed. at least they got one problem solved. i hope they take care of the rest too. i'm sure they will. they're probably working on it gradually. :)

thanks for the review on the serum, btw. :D ooh...i haven't bought anything from lancome in such a looong time. they sure are quite costly. i sometimes buy when they have GWPs though. that's quite rare. i like how you mentioned it feels very nice on the skin. sorry to hear it didn't bring out any results. i'm so glad it did not break you out though and at least you got sample size. at least it saved you from getting the full size. i have not tried anything skincare from lancome yet. thanks for the heads up about this one though. :)

ooh. cute F21 bows, btw. love the sparkly one especially. and tobey looks so handsome wearing his bow from the straightener package. the red looks really nice on him. i love how you keep his fur so shiny. :)

Thanks for the review. It's a shame when such expensive products don't give you any results, but at least you didn't pay a lot for it.

Tobey is so cute with the ribbon!

Sorry the Etude House lippie doesn't look as good on me as I wish it would, so no lip swatches :(

i wasn't expecting the alice in wonderland palette to still be there. i heard it's sold out pretty much everywhere. i'm glad i was able to get my hands on one before they're all gone. there weren't very many boxes left either.

i sure had a blast looking around sephora inside jc penney's. it's tiny, but it carries enough stuff to satisfy one's lemmings. hehehe...

I only use a local Vit C serum. Yeah, Lancome is pretty expensive. The butterfly pin is so pretty, so is the hair band. LOL at Tobey wearing a red ribbon.

Lots of love,
