Couple of weeks ago, I came home to a surprise. A wonderful friend, you know who you are, ordered a box of nail polishes from Julep.

I was extremely excited! I opened the box as soon as I came into my room. She ordered pastel colors for me which is perfect for this season. I've always wanted to try Julep so this gave me a great opportunity to find out what people have been talking about. So far I have only tried one color the pastel lilac, Renee. I cannot wait to test the other colors out!

Thoughts: I was extremely excited to finally try Julep! I keep hearing great things about it on YouTube so this gave me an opportunity to find out what Julep was all about. By the way with my excitement, I forgot to take a lot of pictures before using the polish. My bad! :X

When it comes to packaging, I actually found it unique. Most polishes are round. This is long and thin. It kind of reminds me of a travel-size perfume bottle.
Here's the brush. It's not the most appealing in this picture, but the brush is actually pretty decent. If you're looking for a medium size brush like OPI, this isn't it. It's on the thin side.
Here's a closer look of the color. It's a very light, pastel lilac. It does not match the color on the website. On the website, it looks more like a medium grayish purple.
Here's a look I did with the nail polish. This is true to color! Since the product is on the thick side, this was only one coat.

Now for my overall opinion... If you're use to thick nail polishes, this is good for you. Since I'm not use to thick nail polishes, I had a hard time putting this on my nails. For that reason, I'm glad it was a thin brush. I cannot imagine using a medium to big size brush. It would slip to the side and paint my skin. Hopefully with time, I will get better using the thick nail polishes. Who knows I actually might like thick nail  polishes. For now, it's a little difficult for me to work with. Other than the consistency, it does not streak. It went on smoothly and it looked clean. It also lasted a good four days before chipping.

Pros:
* Variety of gorgeous colors.
* 4-free; does not contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, or DBP
* Thin brush.
* Pigmented.
* Not streaky.
* About 4 days before chipping.

Cons:
* Hard to find in stores.
* Cannot test out before buying.
* Colors are not true on the website.
* Thick consistency.
* Semi-fast drying.

Would repurchase: Maybe, depends on each usage.

I feel very blessed with my relationship with her! I feel like she spoils me rotten and always listen to my foolish rant... hehe~

Pastels are so in, as well as, green. The year of the emerald.
