I thought about it and decided I'm going to follow the trend Manicure Monday. It gives me a chance to review the polish briefly if I'm not reviewing thoroughly, as well as, swatches of the nail polish. Of course, there will be times I don't have any Manicure Monday if  I'm letting my nails breathe. Here's goes my first Manicure Monday...

I received this nail polish from Cult Nails when I went to The Makeup Show LA 2013. If you do not know anything about this brand, here's the information I got from their website.

"Cult Nails was the dream of a nail blogger R3 Daily otherwise known as Maria Morrison. Ever since Maria was a little girl she loved nail polish and all things nail related. Maria knew when she grew up she would work in the nail industry. Of course at the time she thought she would be doing nails in her own salon. Life however had other plans for Maria. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Human Resources. While her career took a detour, Maria's passion for doing her nails and those of her friends continued. If Maria couldn't find the colors she was looking for, she would mix colors together to get the right look. Maria started her blog R3daily in January 2010 and her passion continued to grow and so did her polish collection. After a while though Maria realized that most polish companies were coming out with similar colors each season and still she was mixing colors to achieve her desired look. Maria finally took matter into her own hands and has developed a line that doesn't just follow nail and fashion trends, but blends the fashion trends to blaze the way for new and innovative polish colors for polish fanatics everywhere.

Maria didn't stop there, her goal is to have a green company. Her polish is B3 Free which means they don't contain Toulene, Formaldehyde or Dibutyl Phthalate. But she didn't stop there, Cult Nails Nail Lacquers are also free of Camphor. Cult Nails is a Cruelty Free company and does not test on animals or use products that are tested on animals or that are animal by products. All polish is Vegan friendly. In keeping with our green initiatives all packaging is recyclable and some even reusable. We use only recycled/recycleable boxes to ship our polish that can be reused or recycled by the consumer and utilize cotton balls or our packaging materials. This not only allows the polish to be protected during shipment, but supplies our customers with some of the materials needed to remove their old polish once our product arrives! The cotton ball initiative, as we like to call it, a concept from Maria's 12 year old daughter.

While the initial brand debut is a small limited collection, our goal is to bring you more amazing colors each fashion season creating a Cult following worldwide."

Now for the review...

Product Review: Cult Nails Nail Lacquer in Deal With It

Where to purchase: cultnails.com
Price: $12 for 0.5 fl oz/ 15 mL

Made in USA

Description from the website: 'Deal With It' was created by Coco, because lime green is her favorite color! But she really wanted something that would be "more bright!" She tried many different mixes, but the intense gold shimmer won her vote hands down!!!
Thoughts: When we received our very own nail polish from Cult Nails, they chose randomly.
It came in a cute pouch/bag.
I did not notice this until I started taking pictures. The design on the pouch matches the design on the card. It also have their cute cartoon logo on their business card. It has some resemblance to Maria.

To be honest my initial reaction to the nail polish wasn't the most positive. It just reminded me of Zoya nail polish in Midori. The reason why I bought Zoya nail polish in Midori is because of the popularity at the time. I wasn't keen on the color long time ago and still am not. I will go future into this later in the post. ;)
Here's a close-up of the color and it's very true in the sunlight. It's not that bright in yellow light or in a room.
On the back of the bottle, it tells you B3 Free. It doesn't contain DBP, Formaldehyde, and Toluene. It also doesn't have Camphor.
Here's a close-up of the brush.
Now going back to the comparison to Zoya nail polish in Midori... The one on the left is Midori and the right one is Deal With It. In the picture they look alike, but Zoya a little bit lighter.
Here's a swatch of Zoya (left) compared to Cult Nails (right). Zoya has more a metallic green color with yellow duo-chrome. Cult Nails is more a lighter yellowish-green color. By far, I like the color from Cult Nails better than Zoya. It's a very spring/summer color. Perfect for now! :)
This was my NOTW using Cult Nails in Deal With It. I used two coats of the nail polish to get this look.

Overall opinion... The consistency of the product is not thick, but it's not thin either (liquidy). It's a perfect consistency to my taste. It was easy to apply, went on smoothly, and did not see any streaks or bumps. It also lasted a good 5 days before it started chipping. I would compare it to a lot of OPI nail polishes

Pros:
* Medium consistency.
* Medium size brush.
* Applies smoothly; no streaks or bumps.
* Lasts a good 5 days before chipping.
* Does not contain DBP, Formaldehyde, Toluene, & Camphor.
* Cruelty Free company; does not test on animals.
* Vegan
* Recyclable or reusable products.

Cons:
* Hard to find in stores.
* Cannot see it in person before you order.

Would repurchase: Yes.
Rating:  4.5/5 Tobey's Paws
