Senna Double Brow Brush

Please don't forget to enter my Senna Brow Shaper Duo Giveaway. It ends June 30, 2012 at 11:50 p.m. EST (Eastern time).

This is continuation to Senna Brow Shaper Duo.
I'm going to review the Senna Double Brow Brush that I received from The Makeup Show at their Blogger Preview Event.
Product Review: Senna Double Brow Brush

Where to purchase: Senna studios and online at sennacosmetics.com
Price: $20

Made in Korea

Description from site: This multi tasking brow tool is all you need to groom brow hairs, then apply and blend brow colors. 6" long.
Thoughts: When I received the Senna Brow Shaper Duo, I was extremely excited! I've been wanting to try an eyebrow that came with wax. Then I realized I needed a brush and thankfully, they gave us one. To be honest, my excitement on the brush was not as thrilled as the eyebrow kit. I'm not the biggest fan of double ended brushes. The reason is because I store my brushes in a cup. When I have a double ended brush, one end (usually the one inside the cup) usually gets ruined.

Let's talk about the packaging. I love their cute logo! It's a cute female clown I believe. I also love the color of the handle, blue.
On the other side of the handle, it says "Brow 1". I'm not too sure why. :/

Now for the brush...
The hair is extremely soft and it did not shed during washing. It's also not firm. Most brushes that are not firm from my experience, the hairs tend to split easily and fall out of shape. I've washed this brush several times and it's still in it's shape. It definitely does not split! It's actually a pretty good quality hair. I also love how lightly you can use the brush and the quality on my eyebrow is pretty impressive. It comes out dark even with light strokes. I also love that I can dip it into the wax, and the quality of the hair (brush not my eyebrow) does not change. It's a great versatile brush. It can be used dry or wet from the wax.
The other end is the wand to shape the eyebrow hairs after applying the wax. Since the wand hair has thick set of hairs, it shapes the eyebrow hair really well.

Since I've been putting the wand end of the brush in the cup, I'm actually pretty impressed it has gotten ruined. My opinions on double ended brush has changed a bit. I don't mind this one, but I still wouldn't want double ended brushes with both ends being hairs.

Pros:
* Simple packaging.
* Cute logo.
* Blue handle.
* Good quality hair.
* Soft hairs.
* Does not shed.
* Does not split.
* Need soft strokes.
* Firm/thick wand.

Cons:
* Hard to find in stores.
* Double ended brush.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Sigma F80 Kabuki Brush

I recently received the Sigma F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki Brush. Before I review the brush, I am affiliated with Sigma. You do not have to click on the link, but it would be nice. :) I believe the click will help me have a giveaway on my blog, but I am not too sure on that. Even though I am reviewing this brush, I am not getting paid in any way.
The brush came in a red bag. The bag will be useful in the future to carry other things or to use it to gift presents. Now for the review...
Product Review: Sigma F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki

Where can you purchase this: Sigma website
Price: $16

Made in USA

Information on the website: This exclusive flat top synthetic kabuki was designed to deliver a flawless makeup application. The Sigma Makeup F80 is a buffer brush that can be used to blend powder or liquid products. The short and dense bristles make it easy to buff your liquid foundation. The long handle adds comfort to your makeup application. The synthetic fibers are ideal to be used with liquid products and can be easily cleaned. Made of Synthetic Sigmax HD filament.
My thoughts: I was really excited to receive this. I heard so many good reviews on this brush, and it intrigued my interest. The first thing I did is check to see how sturdy the brush was, as well as, the hair. By touch, the brush hair was so soft. The hair was also very dense which is great for buffering onto the skin. The ferrule is very well made. It's sturdy and doesn't move.
The next thing I did is thoroughly clean the brush. I was pretty impressed there was no bleeding and shedding of the hair. It took about a day to dry which isn't bad.

Now that the brush was clean, I was really excited to try this brush. I used it to buffer in my mineral powder I was using at the moment. It was extremely soft on the skin. I have to say one of the most softest brush I have ever used! It buffered the powder well. Now I can see why people love this brush. I'm in love with it myself and am intrigued to try other brushes from Sigma!!!

Pros:
* Sturdy brush.
* Sturdy ferrule.
* Dense hair.
* Soft hair.
* Buffers well.

Cons:
* None that I can think of. :)

Would I repurchase: Yes, but I hope not any time soon.

Tokidoki Brushes and Hello Kitty Case

In December, Sephora gave Beauty Insiders either $15 or $20 for VIP members. If you're not a member of Beauty Insiders, I definitely recommend it. You also get a free birthday gift every year... hehe~ ;) Last year (2010), we got Sephora eye kit that includes a small eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara. This year you get a Philosophy shower gel/bubble bath.

With the $15 discount, I bought Tokidoki brushes and 3 samples.
Let me tell you how adorable these brushes are!... hehe~ I'm a huge fan of tokidoki, as well as, anything cute like Hello Kitty! :D As soon as I received these, I took pictures and washed them... wheee~ I just couldn't wait to use them. :)
Product Review: Tokidoki Pittura Brush Set

Where can you purchase this: Sephora or sephora website
Price: $35

Made in China

Description from the website: Create the eye look of your dreams, with the help of your favorite Tokidoki characters. Each brush in this must-have set is adorned to represent one character, from top to handle, giving your makeup routine a dose of adorable personality.

Mozzarella eyeshadow brush
Adios Amigos crease brush
Donutella angled eyeliner brush
My thoughts: My initial reaction is how cute is the packaging! It has pictures of different characters on the outside.
Front:
Side:
Back:
To be honest, the packaging is so cute but what will I do with the packaging?... hehe~ I kind of wish they made it out of something other than plastic. What will I do with plastic? :/ If you have suggestions, PLEASE tell me... hehe~
Then I took out the brushes and OMG it is love!... hehe~
Look at the characters on the top of the brushes. I just love it!... hehe~ To be honest, I debated over these brushes because I'm not keen on characters or double-ended brushes. I put my brushes in a cup and having double-ended or characters make it difficult to put them in the cup. :/ I made an exception with these. I just couldn't resist... hehe~ :X
The brush hairs are cute too!... hehe~ The tip of the hair are the same colors as the theme of the brush.

After the initial reaction of all these cuteness, I washed them. I was pretty impressed how soft they were and no shedding!... wheee~ They're also very dense which is good for the eyeshadow and eyeliner brush. I'm not too sure about the crease brush. If you have monolids or small crease area, I think it's fine. If you have bigger crease like me, not too great. If I want to apply it to a small area on my crease after the main color, I think it's fine... hehe~ I'll still use the crease brush but not that often I guess you can say.

After using these brushes for couple of weeks, I'm still pretty impressed. Usually I can see one or two hair fall off but these haven't shed one hair yet!... yippie~

Pros:
* It's so cute!
* The tip of the hair is colored.
* Comes in a cute packaging.
* The brushes are dense.
* It doesn't shed.
* The crease brush is good for small area.

Cons:
* It has a head which makes it hard to put in a cup.
* Packaging is useless since it's plastic.
* The crease brush is good for small area.

Would I repurchase: Yes, but I hope not... hehe~
Rating:  4/5 Tobey's Paws

Speaking of cute things, I'm going to end with this Hello Kitty case.
You can use it for any electronics, but I'm using it for my cell phone... wheee~ :)
