CoverFX & Beautylish Event

I apologize for not updating my blog! There has been changes in my personal life. I just needed to adjust to the changes. I am SORRY once again and THANK YOU so much for the support!!!

The weekend of June 25 there was an IMATS in Pasadena, the Los Angeles showing. Unfortunately, I did not attend but I was able to go to some of the events held there. The first event I attended was the CoverFX Tweetup Event. I got to meet Jenny Frankel, one of the co-creaters, and Melissa. They're both adorable people! Jenny Frankel told us the story of how she became part of the CoverFX. It's such a great story and you can see why CoverFX has made an impact in people. :)

Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures this past weekend. I've been such a bad blogger. :(  Sorry! CoverFX was kind enough to give us a swag bag of their goodies.
They gave us a silver gift bag with purple tissues. That's such a great color combination. I can see it being beautiful on the eyes. ;)
I received Bronzed FX, SkinTint FX, BritePrep FX, and MintTint FX. I will review these in the future posts.

The other event I attended was the Beautylish Cupcake Greet & Meet. It's great seeing Christine, Ning, and Victoria. It's always great seeing familiar faces. :) Again, I did not take any pictures. :X I did pick up some of the things they were giving.
Beautylish gave away this Baggu. It's such a genius idea! Having fold-able, fabric bag you can carry with you. How convenient is it to take it out of your purse when you need a bag around. ;)
Here's how the bag looks when you take it out of the cover. I love the Beautylish logo as well.
I'm not too sure if Taaz sponsored the event, but they were there giving some products out.
They gave out a clear, cherry flavor lipgloss/lipbalm.
They also gave out a small mirror with a crystal star on the cover.

Thank you for both CoverFX and Beautylish for inviting me!!! :)

Beautylish Spring Trend 2011 Event

This past Tuesday, March 22nd, I went to another Beautylish Event. The last time it was held at Los Angles, the hotel next to Staples Center. This time it was held at the W Hotel in Westwood. Tammy from Lazy Beautiful and I went together. We ended up meeting Amy from AmyNaree in the elevator. The first thing we did was go for the food. I think all of us were hungry! :P
Unfortunately, I was so busy getting food I forgot to take a picture of the cheese and crackers. I did take pictures of the cupcakes. Isn't the purple flower gorgeous?
Here's a close-up picture of the cupcakes. The chocolate one was good! I had two of them. Amy said the vanilla one was good too, but I decided to stick with my chocolate. :P
Then we got the specialty drink, Beautylish. It's actually my second time having it. I had the first one at the Los Angeles event where Victoria recommended it. I still remember that. :)

After eating and mingling with people, Tammy and Amy wanted another drink. That's where we met Dorothy, Omar, and Chaz Dean (the creator of WEN products). He's a well known hairstylist and colorist who came out with his own line without harsh chemicals and detergent.
We took pictures with Chaz. Yes, I starred my face. :P From left to right, Amy, Chaz Dean, myself, Tammy, and Victoria from Beautylish.

Then we went inside to get our hair and makeup done.
The three sponsors who did the hair and makeup were hourglass (lips), Clinique (eye makeup), and Pureology (hair). While we were waiting to get our hair done, that's where we ran into Diana from PaperDollRevenge.
Here's a picture of them after they got their hair done. They all got their hair tied in the back. I thought they all looked great! :)

After our hair, we went to the Clinique section to get our makeup done.
I'm not too sure whose hand that is on the left. :/ Anyways, they did an amazing job!
Here are the people who worked for the Clinique. Loey (probably spelling his name wrong), the guy in the middle, did my makeup. I got a lot of compliments afterwards. :)
Here's an open eye picture of my eye makeup. I try to get the closed eye but it was out of focus.

It was an exciting event and I had a blast! I had great companies; Tammy, Amy, and Diana. As well as, met wonderful people. If that wasn't enough, we came home with a swag bag full of tons of goodies!!!
The bag was huge and heavy!
This was all in the bag. We got stuff from Physicians Formula, Clinique, Pureology, WEN, Urban Decay, and so on. It doesn't stop. I will eventually get to them in the future posts with thorough reviews. :) Beautylish even gave us stuff. How sweet of them! They gave us a t-shirt; the gray rolled up on the right in the picture.
They also gave us a thumb drive for the computer. On the bottle half of the paper are the sponsors.
Here's a close-up of the cute thumb drive.

Thank you Beautylish for hosting a great event!!! :)

Los Angeles Beautylish

This past weekend, October 23rd, I had the greatest opportunity to take part of Los Angeles Beautylish Event.
It was hosted by the founders of Beautylish (there's three of them), as well as, the people who work there (Christina and Victoria). This picture was taken at the end of the event, but I think it deserves to be posted first... hehe~ Unfortunately, it's not the greatest picture. I was sitting on the side. :(
These are the brands that sponsored Beautylish, as well as, gave us products to try.
As soon as you enter the room and in the front, they had three mini-stages for makeovers by Napoleon Perdis, Stila, and Maybelline. On the right, they had two manicurists doing manicures on our hands. You had a choice of either Orly or Chanel nail polishes. I got a mini-makeup by Stila. She added blue eyeliner on my lashes, added blush to what I had, and a lip stain. It really came out nice! :)
Here's a closer picture of the stage.

They had different types of tables, example table covered by silver cloth pictured above, either to visit or sit at. At the center of the table, they had a bowl of makeup goodies to grab and try at home. They also had a candle but to be honest, I can't remember if it was lighted... hehe~ :/
They had beauty tips at each center. I thought that was a genius idea... hehe~ :) Don't mind me I get amazed by simple things... hehe~ :D
They also had yummy, delicious food to try.
Here's a closer picture of the food *drool as I type*... hehe~
They also had cupcakes. Doesn't that look like a Christmas tree?... hehe~ It's so cute! :) My apologies, but I forgot to take pictures of the bar. I had the special cocktail Beautylish/Pink Chatelet. Victoria told me about that drink and it was delicious! I should have taken a picture. :X
Carol, the manicurist who did my nail, painted it with one of the new collection from Orly. I believe the name of the nail polish is Lunar Eclipse. It's such a gorgeous color and she recommended this nail polish to match with my hair... hehe~ She also said the new collection is very smooth to apply on the nails. She definitely recommends this collection!... hehe~ ;)
These are the things I grabbed from the center of the tables. I'm sure most people ate their chocolates and candies, but I wanted to take picture of it as soon as I got home. I know I'm weird... hehe~ :P I ended up giving the chocolates to my dad, and the candies to my niece and nephew. The things given were Orly nail polish in Out of This World (I will do a swatch later), two Yes To Carrots Lip Butter, Elf All Over Color Stick, NYX Glitter On The Go, Napoleon Perdis lipgloss, Stila lipgloss, and Yes To Cucumbers Eye Love Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel.
Not only that, they gave you a goody bag.
These are the things that were in my goody bag... hehe~ I got a Beautylish t-shirt, two Yes To Carrots Lip Butter, three Yes To Cucumbers Eye Love Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel, Yes To Cucumbers makeup wipes, Stila lip and cheek stain, NYX goody bag (blush, lip liner, and lipstick), and Orly nail polish in It's Not Rocket Science.

Thank you Beautylish for inviting me!!! I had a great time! :)
