August Favorites

ESTHE Shower Cologne in Floral Dream: I received this product. It was part of Memebox Scentbox #4 Floral. I don't use it as a cologne, but more as a body spray. Just like facial spray, I use the body spray before I apply moisturizer. It helps the body butter/cream/lotion sink into my skin. I've always heard apply body lotion as soon as you come out of the shower while the body is slightly wet. This is the same concept. It just makes it easier to apply in the privacy of my room without water being close by. Plus the scent is so light it doesn't even feel like a body spray at all.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea: I bought this product and I'm so glad I did. I've become obsessed with facial sprays. They have made my life much easier. It makes the moisturizer sink into my skin quicker and better. Not only that, the facial sprays come with benefits. This one I highly recommend and it smells like cucumber.

MustaeV Cheeky Chic Blush in Light Coral: I received this product and glad I did. I love the color and it looks good on my in-between light to medium skin tone. Since I have some yellow in my skin, it brings out the warm natural tone of my cheeks. It's great for everyday and not only that, you can layer for more color for the night out and it lasts all day on me.

Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Rose: I bought this and glad I tried it out. It's long-lasting, transfer-proof, and I love the color. The color wasn't what I expected but I'm glad it wasn't. I usually go for pinky nudes but lately I've been into more peachy/orange-y nudes. Even though it's a nude, the color isn't something in my collection. I love that I'm branching out a bit.

MAC Pro Longwear Fluidline in Blacktrack: I bought this at a CCO (Cosmetics Company Outlet). I've always been curious about this gel liner, as well as, I needed a good eyeliner. The one I've been using gave me some struggles and for the longest time I thought it was me. After trying this eyeliner, I realized it wasn't me. This goes on smoothly, easy to line, it's dark black, and it lasts all day on me.

August Finished Products
Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Double Balmstick in Bananaberry: I bought this some years ago during their semi annual sale. I don't know if having to do with an older product but it was an alright lip balm. At times it wasn't hydrating and some times it did a great job. I don't know why there was a mix reaction to this product. I did notice I got the best results towards the bottom of the product. Something to think about. With that said, the scent was alright. In the beginning, it smelled fake and waxy. I definitely did not smell banana or berry. Towards the middle and end, I hardly notice any scent.

Would repurchase: No.

The Body Shop Body Butter in Almond Milk & Honey: I received this product. I've always been a fan of body butters so when I received this product, I was excited. It did not disappoint me. Compared to most of their body butters, this is on the lighter side. It'll be great for oily skin, as well as, sensitive since it has almond milk. The scent isn't my favorite but I didn't mind. It's was decent.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Aveda Hand Relief: I received this sample hand cream. It's hydrating and it smells really good. I haven't used it for awhile so I cannot remember the scent. All I remember is I loved it. The hand cream is thick enough and great for my dry skin. Not only that, it moisturizes me during my dry winter weather.

Would repurchase: Yes.
