For the last month or two, every time I visit the drugstore I see the Maybelline ColorSensational The Buffs in Bare All Collection display. I'm so drawn to it, but I leave with nothing. I finally gave in and purchased one of the lipsticks from the collection.

Product Review: Maybelline ColorSensational The Buffs in Bare All Collection in #920 Nude Lust

Where to purchase: drugstore, mass merchandiser, and online at maybelline.com
Price: $7.49 for 0.15 oz/ 4.2 g

Made in USA

Description from the website: Raw. Real. Pigments explode with sensuous impact...sensational
Best nude lipstick Buff lip color

Why You'll Love It
True naked pigments for honest flesh tone color
Uniquely sensuous feel from our precious oils.
Thoughts: I don't know if it's the year of the nudes, but I've been drawn to them lately. So when I saw the display, I kept looking and debating until I finally bought one. I bought the most safest out of the collection, Nude Lust.
Here's a closer look at the lipstick. It's very true to color!
Here's a swatch of the color.

Now for how it looks on me...
I have naturally light pink lips. There's no brown tone whatsoever not even the outline of my lips. The lipstick with a combination of my light pink lips makes it look creamy beige.
Here's an overall look on me.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all and with all Maybelline ColorSensational lipsticks, it comes with a scent. I've heard people say the scent smells waxy but it doesn't to me. It's musky but not to the point of I cannot stand the smell. It actually doesn't bother me which is shocking! Plus the scent only lasts a minute or at least that's how long it takes for me to get to use to it. Secondly, it applies smoothly and it's not sticky. I also think compared to a lot of sheer lip products, it's on the thicker side. For that reason, it's pigmented. Thankfully, they have a wide range of nude colors. Nude colors can be on the risky side. Some colors can look good on you and some may make you look deadly. When I first apply this lipstick, I look like I'm dead. After some time, the color changes on me. It's not a huge difference but I like it better. Lastly, it's long lasting until you eat or drink.

Pros:
* Maybelline; a lipstick brand I tend to like.
* Comes in a variety of nudes shades.
* Smooth application.
* Not sticky.
* Consistency on the thick side.
* Pigmented.
* Long lasting until you eat or drink.

Cons:
* Musky scent.

Would repurchase: Yes.

  3. Even with all of the pros I don't think I could wear it if the scent were truly musky. Does it bother you?

  5. I am loving this collection!! I find it so hard to find a nude that works for me so I need to check this out. Problem is that I'm on a lipstick ban because I already own so much. One more won't make a difference though right? Ahh the temptation!!

    I have yet to try this collection but I just reviewed Bebot Love from Wet n Wild Fergie collection. I was quite pleased with it. Another blogger friend swears by Truffle Tease from this Maybelline collection. Great review. #SITSBlogging

  12. The scent doesn't bother me. It only lasts a minute. Most Maybelline lipsticks don't come with a seal. You should try to smell it before purchasing.

  26. You're always pretty, I love this color on you. You have a very feminine lip shape to, reminds me of soft hearts. I know what you mean about some nudes being risky, some come out on the orangy rusty side at times, but this one is real pretty. I love your freckles too!! Cutie pie and sweetie pie! Blessings to you friend. ☺♥☻ Hugs, and extra hugs for Tobey's memory.
