Manicure Monday: Valentine's Day Nail Art 2014

For this Manicure Monday, I'm going to post my nail for Valentine's Day.

I've been wanting to practice drawing hearts with my KKCenter Synthetic Fiber Nail Art Brushes. You can check out my review of the brushes and close-up of each brushes. This is what I came up with. I used 2 coats of OPI in In a Flirtationship on all my nails except the middle and ring finger. On my middle and ring finger, I used 2 coats of Forever21 Love & Beauty in Light Grey. Then I used the brushes to paint the heart. I used OPI in Black Onyx as the outside of the heart. In the inside, I use OPI in In a Flirtationship. Then I added 3 dots on the right corner with Essie in Blanc. I topped everything with Butter London Hardwear P.D Quick Topcoat. I used OPI Matte Topcoat on the heart. I think it came out okay and hopefully, people can see the heart.

  7. Wow, cute! I rarely do my nails (lazy, bad with my left hand, perfectionist), but I've always thought nail art looks like fun.

  8. Thank you and Happy Valentine's Day to you too! :)

  9. Thank you! I find it easier to paint my left hand (I'm right handed) than right. It just takes practice. I paint my nails while I'm sitting while watching TV.

  14. So very cute. I do not envy you getting that glitter off though. That's the only thing I hate about glitter polish!

  15. I never remember to do it, after my toddler goes to bed. I paint her nails sometimes, but rarely my own. I love the look, so I really should do it more!

It's too cute! I love it, I just wish I had more time to do my nails. Or have less dishes to wash lol, it seems like every time I fix my nails they're chipped within 2 days. Maybe I'm just using the wrong nail polish or not letting them dry properly? #SITSBlogging.

  46. These look so cute! Does the heart still show up when you're moving your fingers around? Stopping by from #SITSBlogging.

  47. When you frequently wash dishes, the nail polishes don't last that long compared to someone who doesn't wash dishes. You might want to try a better top coat. That might help. I recommend Seche Vite. It's the fastest drying top coat I have ever tried and it helps with my nail polish longevity. I hope it helps you. :)

  48. Thank you! Unfortunately, it doesn't show when I move my fingers but people can figure out it's a heart.
