Please don't forget to enter NYX Face Set #3 Giveaway. It ends June 27, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).

On May 5th, 2017 (cinco de Mayo), Kylie Cosmetics had a special BOGO (buy one get one) free sale on their lip kits. This gave me a chance to try her famous lip kits.

I took this picture from my Instagram. I bought four lip kits and they were kind enough to send a lipgloss for the late shipment. For this post. I will review one of the lip kit on the left.

Thoughts: Everyone I know owns a lip kit from Kylie Cosmetics and highly recommends it. I just couldn't buy it for $29 when I can get more liquid lipsticks for the same price. So when the website had the sale, I just couldn't refuse.
Here's a closer look at Maliboo liquid lipstick. The website describes it as "light cool-tone nude."

Here's a closer look at the lip liner. Sorry it's kind of blurry but you get an idea.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's a slight scent from the liquid lipstick while applying. I just sniffed the product and it smells like vanilla. I'm not too keen to the smell but it doesn't bother me. With the lip liner, there's no scent whatsoever Secondly, I like the packaging of the liquid lipstick. It kind of reminds me of Kat Von D, in the sense, it has drawing on the packaging. When it's with all my liquid lipsticks, it stands out because of the design. It's sturdy and well-made. There's no scratches and finger marks. The top is also sturdy. It closes tightly. I cannot see it open and break unless you are rough with the packaging. The doe foot applicator is typical for a liquid lipstick; slanted on one side of the tip. The slanted tip makes it easy to outline the lips and color the remaining. The lip liner looks like every other lip liners I own. It's a simple, black packaging with the word Kylie in silver. To be honest, it doesn't stand out when it's with my other lip liners. I actually have to look for it but thankfully, I don't use lip liners that much. With that said, they're both travel-friendly. They're small enough to throw in your bag, purse, and event your pocket. Third, the consistency is liquidity. It just glides on and doesn't tug on the lips. With that said, it's easy to apply. When it comes to liquid lipsticks, thinner the application is better or at least it is on me. The more I apply, it takes longer to dry and it shows the thicker lines on my lips. When I apply a thin layer, it dries quickly and there isn't enough quantity to fall in-between my thick lines. It does show my fine lines but it shows in a natural, pretty way if that makes sense. My co-worker bought the exact same color and she just layers it on her lips. In my opinion, it doesn't look that great on her because of all the lines that show up. This is just a personal preference. With that said, it dries quickly and does not leave any stickiness. The lip liner is creamy and glides on. It's does not tug on the lips and it's extremely easy to use. Since it's not a chubby pencil, it's easy to outline the lips. Some thin pencils break easily. You don't have to worry with this pencil. Fourth, the color is pretty. From the website, it looks more purplish-nude on the model. I believe she's wearing both lip liner and liquid lipstick. For me, I prefer the liquid lipstick alone. It looks more pinkish-nude on me. My co-worker also wore the liquid lipstick alone and it looks more purple on her. I did try the liquid lipstick with lip liner and it's more darker. It has a grayish tone from the lip liner. You can tell from the swatch above the lip liner is darker than the liquid lipstick. With that said, this will be a great fall/winter color. I was impressed with the pigmentation. It's not the best but it's up there. Lastly, the liquid lipstick lasted until I ate/drank. I have a tendency to wipe my mouth after I eat. It doesn't help because the grease from the food loosens the particles in the center of the lips. Then I wipe it all over my lips. With that said, it's comfortable and not drying. I did not see any white residue in the center of the lips.

* No scent from the lip liner.
* Cute design on the liquid lipstick; stands out.

* Easy to apply.

* Good fall/winter color.
