Maybelline The Nudes

When I first saw Maybelline The Nudes palette on Instagram, I was on a hunt. It's so my style. Plus, who doesn't need more neutral/nude paletts (okay, I'm in denial). For some reason, my area was slow with this collection. I'm not too sure why. When I finally saw it at my local drugstore, I grabbed it.

Thoughts: When I finally got the palette, I was stoked. It was nice to see something I was on a hunt for.
Here's a picture of how the palette looks when opened. If you're looking for a palette with a mirror, this doesn't come with it.
The palette comes with 12 eyeshadows.
Here's a closer look at the eyeshadows. I love that there's a mixture of shimmers and matte.
Here's a closer look at one of the eyeshadows.
The palette comes with one applicator.

Now for the swatches... They were swatched on my arm with no primer whatsoever.
Here's a swatch of the top row from left to right from the palette.
Here's the bottom row from left to right from the palette.

Now for the looks I came out with...
Look #1:
I can't remember the exact shades I used, but I believe it was the first 4 colors on the left from the palette.
Here's an overall look.
Look #2:
I mostly used the colors from the middle 4 eyeshadows from the palette.

Look #3:
I used mostly the middle 4 eyeshadows with a mixture of the last 4.
Here's an overall look.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, I'm pretty impressed with the quality of the eyeshadows. They medium to high pigmented and they're extremely easy to apply. Not only that, they're easy to blend or at least from my experience. Secondly, I love how small the palette is. It's the size of my big hand which makes it easy to carry, very travel-friendly. Third, I love that you can do day time look with this palette at the same time night time. Now only that, the website is extremely helpful. I think it's great for newbies who don't know how to wear makeup. They got 13 YouTubers to make makeup tutorial using the palette. They also have directions on which colors are good together on the website, as well as, on the back of the palette.
If you only want to use 2 colors, they show you which colors are good together.
If you want to use 3 eyeshadows, they recommend which colors.
If you want to use 4 eyeshadows, their suggestion.

Of course, you don't need to follow the directions like me. It's just fun to experiment and just be unique. Lastly, they don't crease and it lasted all day on me.

Pros:
* Maybelline; a brand I trust.
* Versatile neutral palette; go from light to smokey.
* Comes with both matte and shimmers.
* Travel-friendly.
* Easy to apply.
* Easy to blend.
* Instructions on which colors look good together.
* Does not crease.
* Last all day.

Cons:
* If you carry the palette, does not come with a mirror.

Would repurchase: Yes.
