Beginning of October, this month (2014), I attended Beauty Press Spotlight Day Event. I was lucky enough to meet Laura, the president of Healthilocks, and her twin sister.

Laura is the one on the right. I love twins and the connection they have. It's so adorable! On this day, I was telling her my hair is extremely damaged from being bleached twice (it's a long story) and dyed several times. It's so damaged that I cannot even comb through my hair. She told me the combination of using her products (shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in treatment) and serum treatment done at the salon would improve my hair texture. It sounded very promising! I was lucky enough to get a complimentary serum treatment.

I made my appointment on Saturday, October 18, 2014 with Logan Jackson from Salon Benjamin.
Here's the entrance to Salon Benjamin. In all honesty, I was a little bit confused going inside. It looked like a store than a salon. When I entered, I only saw one person and she looked like a cashier/salesperson. Thankfully, behind the entrance was a huge salon. It has to be the biggest salon I've ever been too. It's very modernized and felt kind of homelike. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures. I really didn't want to be in the way of all the stylists and customers.
I did find a picture of Logan Jackson on the Salon Benjamin website. He's the stylist/colorist who did magic on my hair. He's extremely friendly and he knows his hair!
Here's a picture of Healthilocks products. The one in the black bottle, Healthilocks Serum for Salon Treatment, was the product he used on my hair. It's magic in a bottle! I wish they would sell it but unfortunately, you can only get it done in the salons. You will see why I say it's a magic in a bottle.
Here's my before picture taken in the restroom of the salon. It's kind of hard to tell from the picture but it's damaged from my chin down. I cannot even comb through my hair. That's how bad my hair was! By the way, ignore that I'm not wearing makeup. I didn't wake up in time to do my face before the treatment. :X
Here's my after treatment. The product is amazing! Logan would use a comb with the product and comb until it was manageable. My hair was sucking up the product. While he was combing through my hair with the treatment, right in front of my eyes I could see how it went from damaged to smooth. I could also feel with each brush. Not only that, he also fixed the bad coloring job that I got done. It's a long story when I went to get a retouched, she messed up my hair. Let's just say I wasn't happy. I will never go back to that salon again or at least never to that stylist again!
