Aveeno Labor Day Sun Safety

Disclaimer: Press Release

"Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, and whether you'e enjoying a parade or taking one last trip to the beach, a weekend full of outdoor activities mean increased UV exposure.

Before you pack up and head out for the long weekend, AVEENO® would like to remind you to take a moment to ensure you're being safe about proper sun protection!

Dermatologist Dr. Jeanine Downie's Sun Safety Precautions to Keep in Mind This Holiday Weekend
1. Apply sunscreen 20 minutes before you leave the house and re-apply every 2 hours.
2. Make sure you're using enough sunscreen to fully protect yourself. As a rule of thumb you should use a shot-glass full of sunscreen on your face and body.
3. Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 am to 2 pm, when the sun is the strongest.
4. Sun, salt, and chlorine can dehydrate skin. Look for sunscreen that offers broad spectrum protection and has hydrating ingredients, such as oat.
