Last week, I mentioned Aveeno started a 3 week challenge and I decided to take part in.

"Spring is a great time to start fresh! So, to kick-off spring, we are challenging YOU to take the #AveenoDailyChallenge - for three weeks to a healthier and more beautiful you.

It's simple... 1) Use AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Lotion every day for three weeks 2) select and integrate one additional healthy habit of your choosing.

* Sleep more
* Eat healthier
* Drink more water
* De-stress/mediate/reflect/take time for myself
* Daily exercise"

My challenge was to sleep more, Personal Tuesday: Aveeno Daily Challenge. You can read more about it on that post. I've been known to take power naps since I was a baby. As an adult, you kind of grow out of it. I never did. If I can find time to take a 15 minutes nap, I'll do it. It doesn't matter where. I can sleep anywhere and everywhere; in my car, bathtub, and so on. That's how much I love sleeping! For someone who enjoys sleeping, why did I choose to sleep more? For the last 6 months or more, I've been feeling overwhelm. I feel like I have so much to do and little time. For that reason, I'll stay up until 3-4 in the morning doing the things I need to do. It could be anywhere from cleaning my room, organizing my mail, and so on. I knew I needed to change, but at the same time, I needed a push. That's why I'm so thankful for this challenge from Aveeno. It gave me motivation to change my sleeping habit.

My goal for the first week was to get into bed at 12 a.m. Sunday to Thursday. Since I can sleep in on the weekends, I didn't include Friday and Saturday night. Let me tell you, it was a challenge. I did most days Sunday to Thursday except Monday night. I was up writing my blog post, Personal Tuesday: Aveeno Daily Challenge. I kind of find it funny because I'm supposed to do this challenge, and I stayed up writing a post about it.
Now that it's the second week of doing this challenge, I found another curve ball. I'm not having trouble getting into bed at 12. I'm having trouble sleeping because I'll play around with my cell phone. I'll watch YouTube channels, look at pictures on Instagram, play games, and so on until I feel tired. I'll wake up and my cell phone is in my bed with me.

When you wake up, where is your cell phone?

i have to keep my phone on the opposite side of the room since it is my alarm. That way i HAVE to get out of bed to turn off my alarm....otherwise I never get up!

I do the exact same thing! I'll get in bed, but start looking at Twitter, Instagram, my emails etc. Then I look up and it's 2 or 3 in the morning! It's so hard to de-plug. If I'm not charging it, I keep my cell phone underneath the next pillow. HaHaHa

Oh wow, you only use one alarm? It sounds like you're a light sleeper. I need more than one to wake me up and my dad... lol~

Glad to know I'm not the only one!... lol~

One alarm, but very messy room. Trying not to trip and kill myself while turning off my alarm helps wake me up lol

Oh wow, you responded back. I'm amazed one alarm works for you. I need more or else I'll never wake up. I remember in college, I used to walk around the room turning off mine and my roommate's alarm. Then I'll head back to sleep. My roommate said how could you not wake up from walking around? I just said I love sleep I guess... hehe~
