Please don't forget to enter Reviva Labs Antioxidant & Texturing Day Cream Giveaway. It ends April 29, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific time).

During The Makeup Show Los Angeles 2014 Part 2, I hauled couple of NARS products.

Here are the products I purchased that day. I already reviewed NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Villa Lante (middle right). For this post, I will review the other NARS product on the top right. This collection came out February/March 2014.

Thoughts: When I saw the Matte Multiple Collection, I couldn't choose between Laos and Siam. I've been into oranges lately. It's possible because it's the hot spring color. At the end, I decided to get Laos. I felt that I couldn't pull of Siam as well as other people.
Here's how the Matte Multiple looks like when you take the top off.
Here's a closer look at Laos. It's very true to color! You also need to be careful how you open it. I accidentally hit the product with the top.
Here's a swatch of the color. The website describes it as "Rose coral." I kind of agree with the description.

Now for how it looks on me...
I know it doesn't look like I have anything on, but I do. Since it's on the matte side, it just gave me color.
This is why I post an overall pictures of myself. Now you can see the color or at least I think you can. I also applied it on my cheeks.

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, there's a slight scent. It's not noticeable when you apply it onto your skin. I just noticed because I just sniffed it. I also cannot say what kind of scent it is. It's not the most appealing but it isn't disgusting. Secondly, I have mixed feelings about the packaging. I think the shape is great to apply onto your cheeks. It's also easy when you're using your fingertips. The part I don't like is the outer packaging. I already noticed dirt and stains. I also wish the product itself wasn't sticking out of the bottom. I wish you can turn and lower the product. Since I already ruined it the first time I opened the product, I've became cautious. I open it slowly and cautiously. This product will definitely not be good for people who are in a hurry or at least for me. Once you reach to the point you can lower the product, you have to be careful until then. Next, I've always had mixed feelings about multiple use products especially cheeks/lips. I've noticed cheeks/lips products tend to be okay on the cheeks but drying on the lips. This isn't an exception. I noticed some dry spots but it's not as bad as the ones I've used in the past. Thankfully, I can apply lip balm throughout the day and it'll be okay. I noticed the best thing for me when it came to the lips is to use my fingertips directly from the product. The shape of the product I found it hard to apply onto my lips especially the outline of the lips. For the cheeks, I actually used it wet. I applied water onto my fingertip and dab it into the product. It was easier to blend onto my cheeks than using it dry. I think people with oily skin can use it dry. I recommend using it wet for dry skin individuals. It made the product much easier to blend. Now that I think about this product, I don't think it's the most sanitary safe. This is just my own personal opinion. I would not apply this onto my cheeks/lips. I prefer to use my fingertips or a brush. Imagine if you have oily skin and directly apply the product onto your cheeks. Would you apply the same product onto your lips? You can clean it, but you have to do that all the time. It's so time consuming. For that reason, I use my fingertips and I actually wash in-between usage. Lastly and with that said, the product is long lasting. The color on the cheek lasted all day and I did not have to reapply. The lips I did but it was after I ate. Even with eating, most of the color stayed on.

Pros:
* Comes in a variety of colors.
* No noticeable scent while applying.
* Big, round, flat surface to apply onto the cheeks.
* Circular surface makes it easy to use your fingertips.
* Can be used dry or wet.
* Lasted all day on the cheeks.
* Lasted until I ate for my lips.

Cons:
* Outer packaging collects dirt and stains.
* Need to be careful when opening the package until you can lower the product.
* Semi-drying on the lips.
* Not sanitary safe if both used on cheeks and lips.

Would repurchase: Maybe.

The colour is really pretty! This would be great for traveling. Too bad about the packaging though; practically the only NARS flaw (besides the price lol).

They really need to re-think the packaging of it. I definitely understand how you feel. I've noticed this year, a lot of products for both lip and cheeks. The color for this is lighter than what I expected. It's much softer. Looks great though. Excellent review Ahleessa.

Ohh I know what you mean about dual use products! There seems to be a lot of lip/cheek products coming out but I'd only feel comfortable using them either for lip OR the cheeks - not both! The colour looks pretty though!

Thank you! I'm so obsessed with orange lip colors. Thankfully, this isn't fully orange but it's gorgeous with the pink. I don't know why Nars use that typical packaging. I'm so not keen on it but it won't stop me from purchasing... hehe~

You can build the color. I applied lightly, as well as, the flash of the camera faded the color.

I know what you mean about the multiple use products. I noticed that a lot as well. The positive is we have less products to reach for and hopefully, we can finish them quickly as well. The negative is they tend to be drying on the lips or at least for me.

Thank you! I like the color too and I completely understand not wanting to use them. For that reason, I apply both areas with my finger. I cannot imagine applying the product directly on my cheeks than my lips. Ewww!
