I am thankful for the opportunity to review a foundation for Victoria Jackson.

Before I review the product, let me tell you a little about the company.

'Having achieved success as a Hollywood makeup artist, cosmetics entrepreneur and TV infomercial pioneer, Victoria Jackson prefers to think of herself as "a goodwill ambassador for makeup." When women embrace self-confidence, she says, they learn the key to success, and liking who they see in the mirror is a powerful first step in that transformative process. "My personal philosophy has always been, "When you look better, you feel better. And when you feel better, you can change your life," says Jackson, who in the last dozen years has volunteered hundreds of hours at women's correctional facilities, hospitals and youth support venues, teaching inner confidence through outer beauty.

A recognized trailblazer in the cosmetics and infomercial industries, Jackson has racked up eleven of them for her eponymous line Victoria Jackson Cosmetics, which has enjoyed an astounding billion dollars in makeup sales, and continues to grow. Jackson has also reached thousands of women through her two briskly selling books: Redefining Beauty: Discovering Your Individual Beauty, Enhancing Your Self-Esteem (Warner Books, 1993) and Make Up Your Life: Every Woman's Guide to the Power of Makeup (HarperCollins, 2000), a deeply personal account of her experiences in the business which she calls one of her proudest achievements.

An active philanthropist, Victoria's newest charity is near and ear to her heart. The Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation is dedicated to funding basic science research to find answers that will lead to the prevention, clinical treatment programs and a cure for Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO) Spectrum Disease. More information about NMO and foundation can be found at www.guthyjacksonfoundation.org.

Married to husband Bill Guthy of infomercial giant Guthy-Renker, Victoria Jackson is a proud mom of three children and together they make their primary residence in Los Angeles.'

I got the information from the website. They said it better than I ever can!
Product Review: Victoria Jackson Foundation Duo in Light

Price: $26.96 (first order) for 8.6 g/ 0.30 oz per shade

Made in USA

Description from the website: Here's the secret to Victoria's "No Make Up" Make-Up®... Victoria's Foundation Duo is a Sheer, buildable formula. Two skin-perfecting shades can be used alone or blended together to exactly match your complexion. Victoria's foundation is ideal because it gives you all the coverage you need without added layers. Also ideal for concealing problem areas such as under-eye circles.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: When it comes to foundation/BB Creams, I'm always looking for new products. I need anything that helps cover my imperfections, freckles and dark spots. For that reason, I was excited to try this product out! Before I talk about the quality, let me tell you more about the packaging.
Here's how the inside looks. It comes with two shades of foundation with mirror.
A closer look of the foundation duo.
It also comes with a sponge. I was pretty impressed with the sponge. It's not one of those cheap kinds. On the other hand, I really cannot say since I did not use the sponge. When it comes to foundations, I use a brush. It's just easier for me to clean than the sponge or it might just be my laziness.
Here's a swatch of the foundation. The lighter of the duo is on the left. You can also tell the darker of the duo has more warmth. This is good for yellow skin individuals like myself.

Now for pictures of how the foundation looks on me:
Before:
This is with no makeup whatsoever. You can see all my freckles and dark spots.

After:
I used the darker of the duo all over my face, and the lighter as a concealer to cover my redness.

Overall with makeup:

Now for my overall opinion... First of all, I asked for the wrong foundation color. I should had gone for medium. I have a tendency to think I'm lighter than I really am. I've been told many times by professionals than I'm medium tone. Okay not many times but gazillion, and they all assured me I'm medium. I don't know why I'm so stubborn and keep buying things lighter than I really am. I guess it didn't help growing up having friends telling me I'm pale (I guess I am compared to them). :X Anyways, the darkest of the duo is still lighter than my skin tone not by much. For that reason, I was able to work the foundation with setting power and to blend it with my neck. Secondly, I really like the packaging. It's easy to carry and travel friendly. I think this will make a great foundation for professional makeup artists. They can own all four shades and don't need anything else since you can blend the colors. It's both concealer and foundation in one. I think it's extremely convenient! Next, I would consider the consistency from medium to heavy depending on your application. With that said, this is really easy to apply and goes on smoothly. I actually love the consistency, texture, and so on. The only thing I found is that with dryness, it doesn't look the best. There was some, not much, separation on the face. You can fix it afterwards with spray, mixing the foundation with lotion/cream and using it as a cream, and so on. It was not a big deal but noticeable while applying. Lastly, it lasted all day. It has a long lasting power.

Pros:
* Sturdy, travel-friendly packaging.
* Comes with a well-made sponge that can actually be re-used.
* Comes with a duo that you can blend together.
* Can be used as a foundation and concealer.
* Medium to heavy consistency.
* Easy to apply.
* Goes on smoothly.
* Long lasting power.

Cons:
* Hard to find in stores.
* Cannot test out before purchasing.
* Some separation on dry areas.

Would repurchase: Yes.

It looks nice, I like it has a yellow tone. Because I have a yellow under tone too and it's often a problem with other foundations.
