October Favorites

Rock & Republic Contrived Pressed Blush in Kinky: I haven't touched this blush in ages! To be honest, I forgot all about it. I guess it has to do with having so many blushes, as well as, always consistently trying new products. You forget the ones you have tried even the ones you like. Thankfully, I pulled this out for my Halloween look. It has rekindled my love for this blush! There's a thorough review, a blush in Tease, and a swatch of this particular one. The reason why I like R&R blushes is how pigmented they are, at the same time, so easy to apply onto the skin. Sometimes you have to layer and layer to get a color on your cheeks. It's easy with these blushes because it's velvety smooth. I'm a big fan of R&R blushes and I'm sad they were discontinued!

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in No.23: I actually bought a travel-sized BB Cream. With my purchase, I got a sample kit which included this BB Cream. Even before purchasing, I knew my color was No.23. I was told by a professional. If you're wondering, I'm probably NC25-30 in MAC Foundation. I'm on the pale side at the moment so I would guess 25, and No.23 is a perfect shade. If you're looking for a thick consistency, this isn't it but at the same time it's not thin. It's a light to medium depending on how much you apply. I actually apply lightly and my skin looks smooth. It doesn't fall in-between my fine lines and focuses on my imperfections.

Nuance Salma Hayek AM/PM Anti-Aging Super Cream: I received this product free from CVS. I believe the machine printed out a coupon for a small size cream/travel-sized. I actually like the product. It's thick in consistency which is great for my dry skin, but at the same time, I'm not too keen on the packaging. The last month I actually took part in testing a product for a magazine. The product kind of dried my skin. So once the testing was over, I needed a really thick consistency and this came in handy! It helped my skin with the dry patches, as well as, hydration. The only issue I had was the packaging. It's not the design but more so closing the product. At the end, there's a tight click. After applying the product, it makes it hard to close the packaging with my moist fingers from the moisturizer.

BA*Star Lip color in Holiday Red: I received this product to review. You can check out my review and swatch. This is a versatile lip color. You can wear this as a stain which is what I've been doing or the color itself, bright red. You can also apply other products on top to make it shiny and glossy. The reason why I like this product is that it doesn't dry out your lips, at the same time, it actually lasts a long time. Now I understand why this brand aims for cheerleaders. They need something that last a long time. While cheering, they don't need to worry about the products on their face.

KKCenterHK BlueSea Black and White Polka Dots Bow: I received this product to review. You can check out my review and nail art. What more can I say other than this product is gorgeous, does not break, does not come off, and lasts until you take it off!?!?

October Finished Products:
Benefit They're Real! Mascara: I received this from Sephora as their birthday gift this year, 2013. Well, part of it. The birthday kit included this mascara and highlighter. I will review this mascara thoroughly soon so look out for that. ;) For now, I liked this mascara a lot. It held up my straight, Asian lashes for a non-waterproof mascara and my lashes look full.

Would repurchase: Yes.

touch in SOL Toc Toc toning Capsule Base: I received this sample to review: You can read my thorough review. This product was interesting in a good way. The pearls would turn from a white/light pink to clear on your face. It was fun watching the transformation right in front of you! At the same time, it worked well. It would help your imperfections so that the makeup would apply more smoothly. It definitely helped my huge pores on my nose. The foundation and powder did not sink into my pores and leave a hole that's noticeable. The con side of this product is that one of the ingredients is yeast. I'm not too sure what to think about that. I noticed after I cut the sample, it dried out quickly. I'm not too sure if it has to do with yeast as one of the ingredients but I found that interesting. Something to think about!

Would repurchase: Maybe.

Aveeno Positively Ageless Skin Strengthening Hand Cream: I received this product to review. You can check out my thorough review. Even to this day, I like this hand cream a lot. It's especially great during the winter weather when your skin gets drier than normal. One thing I noticed with the consistency and it might only be me, but it reminds me of Vaseline. With that said, this can be greasy to oily skin individuals but I think it's great for normal to dry. The best part is that it's not that big so you can carry this in your purse or even in your car which is what I did. Whenever I'm in my car and my hand feels dry, I apply this hand cream.

Would repurchase: Yes.
