Every time I go to ULTA I see the essence stand, but I never purchase anything until now. I saw one nail polish that really stood out to me.

Product Review: Essence Colour & Go in #133 Oh My Glitter!

Where to purchase: ULTA, stores that sell Essence, and online like ulta.com
Price: $1.99 for 0.27 fl oz/ 8 mL

Made in France

Description from the website (ULTA): Welcome to the next generation! Essence is presenting a completely innovative Colour & Go Nail Polish Range.
* Trendy colors
* Brilliant gel-shine effect for a highly intense finish
* Ultra fast-drying formula
* Particularly long-lasting
* Perfect coverage

What's the secret? This innovative formula was specially designed to offer intense, long-lasting color and exceptional shine with an incredibly short drying time. Perfect results in an instance! And don't forget - the Essence Colour & Go Polishes are free of harmful ingredients such as formaldehyde, toluene and emollient phthalate. In addition, the Essence Colour & Go Nail Polish is available in 8 mL bottles with the usual color-coded lid that matches the color of the respective nail polish. The polish also features a patented professional brush, which can capture more color and distribute the nail polish faster, easier and more accurately... without any streaks! With an incredibly large selection of breathtaking colors - from cheerful bright shades to classic reds and dark, almost black nuances as well as shimmering or metallic effects.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: Most of the colors from Essence at my ULTA you can purchase in other brands. There's nothing unique about them until I saw one nail polish hidden in the back.
From the picture, it looks like it's just purple with white specks. Actually, it's purple with pink specks.
Here's the brush. From the picture, it doesn't look that big but it is a big brush. It's a lot bigger than OPI brushes.
Here's the polish on my nails. It look like white specks again. :/ This is two coats of nail polish.

Now for my overall opinion... It's a gorgeous color and I think it'll look great on light to medium skin. I think with darker skin, it will just blend in. I found this nail polish really easy to apply. Since the brush is so thick and the polish is on the liquidity side, it didn't take much to apply. It went on smoothly and there was no streaking.

I found the scent really strong! I'm not too sure if all Essence nail polishes have strong scent, but this one did. Other than the scent, I found the closing of the lid helpful. When you close and open, it has a bumpy feel. It's very helpful to know that you closed it correctly and that it will not spill. Speaking of the lid, the lid matches the nail polish. It really doesn't matter but I noticed all Essence polishes match from top to bottom.

Lastly, the nail polish only lasted 3 days before it started chipping. I guess for $1.99 nail polish I shouldn't expect much.

Pros:
* Bumpy feel when you close the lid.
* Thick brush.
* Medium consistency.
* Liquidity side.
* Applies smoothly; no streaking and bumps.
* Dries fast.
* Free of harmful ingredients; formaldehyde, toluene and emollient phthalate

Cons:
* Strong scent.
* Lasts only 3 days.

Would repurchase: Probably not.
