Geo Olive Gray Circle Lens

I received two circle lens from Angel Contacts. I already reviewed Geo Angel Blue Circle Lens. You can check out my review and how it looks on dark eyes. Now I'm going to review Geo Olive Gray Circle Lens.
It comes in a clear package with the circle lens and a case. With every circle lens, you get a case. It also comes with direction how to open and take care of the circle lens. I know it sounds foolish about how to open the circle lens, but trust me it helps. I made a mistake the first time I opened one of the lens. :X
Product Review: Geo Olive Gray Circle Lens

Where to purchase: angelcontacts.com
Price: $25

Made in Korea

Description from the website: Spice up your eyes with GEO OL's elegant yet subtle colours.

Stroll down with this sleek and elegant duo gray combo.

Lense Information:
Diameter: 14 mm
Base curve: 8.6 mm
Center thickness: 0.04 mm

Lasts up to 1 year after opening.
Thoughts: After trying Geo Angel Blue Circle Lens, I knew this one will show more on my dark eyes. I also knew I would love this color on me since I've had gray colored contact lens in the past. The only thing is I did not know how the gray "circle lens" will look on me.
Here's a close up look of the gray circle lens. I love how the outside isn't black like other circle lens. I also love how cool circle lens are with the pattern, as well as, the design.
Here's how the contacts look on me.

Now for my opinion on this particular circle lens... I love it! I love that it's noticeable, and I've had people comment about it. A lot of people think it looks natural on me. Then again they might be use to me with gray colored contact lens. I also love that I can wear this for hours and it does not bother me. Then again I'm not the person to compare that with. I can wear lenses for hours and my eyes will never dry out. That might be a reason why I never underline my waterline. :X Another thing is it's very easy to focus in the center, hole, of the lens not the pattern. The first time I wore my colored lens, it took me a month to stop focusing on the pattern. It drove me crazy, but this lens is fine. To be honest, I like this a little bit better than the other one. I just love that it's noticeable on my dark eyes! :)

Pros:
* Cute packaging; Tiffany colored theme.
* Comes with a case.
* Instruction how to open and use.
* Makes eyes look bigger.
* Comfortable.
* Easy to focus and not suck on focusing on the patterns.
* Does not dry out my eyes.

Cons:
* None.

Would repurchase: Yes!!!
Rating:  5/5 Tobey's Paws

They also have a FaceBook page you can check out. It's extremely helpful in deciding which colors will look great on you!

Aveeno Positively Ageless Skin Strengthening Body Cream

This is the third body lotion/cream from Aveeno that I received in one package. I already reviewed Aveeno Positively Nourishing Energizing Body Lotion (my favorite scent) and Aveeno Positively Nourishing Calming Body Lotion.
Product Review: Aveeno Positively Ageless Skin Strengthening Body Cream

Where to purchase: drugstores, mass merchandisers, and online at aveeno.com
Price: $8.99-$9.99 for 7.3 oz / 207 g

Made in USA

Description on the back: As you age, the cumulative effects of external assaults can cause the skin's protective moisture barrier to break down, contributing to skin becoming thinner and more fragile over time. AVEENO POSITIVELY AGELESS Skin Strengthening Body Cream has been clinically shown to deeply moisturize for 24 hours. This formula with ACTIVE NATURALS Southernwood helps fortify the skin's moisture barrier, leaving it feeling stronger and more resilient. With regular use, the skin's moisture barrier can be improved over time, leaving skin healthier and younger looking.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: The first thing I noticed is that this is a body cream not a body lotion. The word cream tells me that this product is more thicker in consistency compared to lotions. It'll be great for dry skin, as well as, aging.

With most products, I always smell it. Scent is a big favor for my purposes. If a product smells bad, who wants it? I know I don't. I'm also not that great in distinguishing scents but to my nose, it's on the fruity side. I actually like it! The scent lasts for a certain amount of time. I would say around five minutes. Either my nose gets use to the scent and don't realized it or the scent isn't long lasting.
I love that the product comes in a tube. I don't have to dig my fingers into the container and leave some residue. I also like that dusk in the air does not go into the product. It's just sanitary safe!
Here's how the cream looks. To be honest, I was shocked about the consistency of the cream. I was expecting it to be thicker than the lotion. They were the same to me. If they're thicker, I did not notice. The product also felt the same as the lotion, as well as, the lasting time. I did not see any differences between all three. One thing I noticed is that the cream has mushroom extract. I actually had to research a little. Here's what Ganoderma Lucidum does...

"is an amazing beauty care fungi of anti-wrinkle, anti-inflammatory, stain removal, skin protection, hair glossing to maintain a young state."

I got this from http://www.superganoderma.com so I do not take full credit. Wow, mushroom extract is so intriguing! I want to try more products out with mushroom extract.

If you tried products with mushroom extract, what did you think about it?

I do have to admit it improved my skin, but then again any hydrating products help me out since I have dry skin to start with. I think it's more noticeable on people with aging body skin. Then again it's also good to start now to prevent aging skin. ;)

Pros:
* Aveeno; a brand that uses natural ingredients.
* Mushroom Extract; prevention of aging skin.
* Smells good.
* Comes in a tube; sanitary safe.
* Sturdy lid.
* Creamy texture; semi-thickness.
* Moisturizes dry skin.

Cons:
* Don't see expiration date.

Would repurchase: Yes.

Illamasqua Nail Varnish

In my August 2012 GlossyBox, I received Illamasqua Nail Varnish.
Product Review: Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Purity

Where to purchase: Sephora and online at sephora.com
Price: $14 for 0.5 fl oz/ 15 mL

Made in Australia

Description on the back: Conceived amidst the dark drama of 1920s Berlin, developed by professional make-up artists, embraced by alternative cultures, made by a unique British brand. Worn by those who refuse to be everybody.

Leave your mark with bold, rich, vibrant colours. Hardwearing and chip-resistant with individual finishes from matt to high gloss. Apply two coats for intensity and use with Illamasqua Nail Base Coat and Illamasqua Nail Top Coat for the perfect finish. Talk with your hands and make a statement.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: When I saw this in the August GlossyBox, I was stoked! I always heard about the brand Illamasqua especially their blushes and nail polishes. Having to own a nail polish was exciting, but not only that I got a color I love!
Here's how the nail polish looks in natural light. It's a gorgeous peach color! What I love about the color is not only that it's gorgeous, it's so unique. I knew I didn't own a color like this or seen anything close.
The closest that I own is China Glaze in Peachy Keen (on the left). It was a limited edition color from China Glaze.

If you can tell, I loved the color but that's not the only thing. Before I talk about the product itself, let me tell you about the brush.
It's not as thick as OPI, but it's not thin also. It will take more than two swipe to paint your nails. I'm so used to OPI nail polishes that I got used to thick brushes. This brush is actually decent. It did not bother me.

Now you know what I think about the brush and color. The packaging is decent. I like how simple and classic it looks. The only thing I wasn't keen on is the lid. Whenever I close it tight, it wasn't aligned with the bottle. If you look at the picture with the China Glaze, you can see the lid not in alignment with the bottle.
Here's how the color looks on my NC30 skin. I did two coats of the nail polish. I think it's pretty, but it'll look better on darker skin. Even though it doesn't look that great on my skin, I'll still wear it. I just love how unique the color is! :) Since it looked so pale on my skin, I decided to add lines on my ring finger. If you're curious how I did the line, it's actually tape. :X If you want me to do a tutorial on the tape, I can. Just tell me in the comment section. If I don't see any comment, I will not do a tutorial.
Here's how my nails look a week later. I hardly saw any chips and yes, I do dishes. I get asked that a lot. :/ Please ignore the lines from the ring finger. I tore it off. :X

I was really happy how long the nail polish lasted before it started chipping, a week and a half. That's pretty decent for a regular nail polish.

Pros:
* Simple, classic, and sturdy bottle.
* Middle sized brush.
* Gorgeous color.
* Thick consistency.
* Long lasting.
* Takes longer than a week before it starts chipping.

Cons:
* The lid does not aligned with the bottle.

Would I repurchase: Yes!

Stila Set & Illuminate Baked Powder Trio

In July, I went to the Stila warehouse sale. I did a post on it. You can check out my haul if you like. I'm so glad I went because I got such a good deal! I thought they would only sell the discontinued products, but they actually sold products that are being sold. One of the products is the Stila Set & Illuminate Baked Powder Trio.
Product Review: Stila Set & Illuminate Baked Powder Trio

Where to purchase: Sephora, Ulta, and online at stilacosmetics.com
Price: $34 for 0.16 oz/ 4.5 g

Made in Italy

Description on the back: A new "twist" on setting powder, this 3-in-1 innovative baked powder brightens, highlights and warms the skin for a radiant complexion.

Benefits:
* light gold - highlights the skin
* pale pink - warms the complexion
* kitten - brightens and illuminates

Usage:
Twist the shaver in a clockwise motion to release powder. Using a Stila #24 blush brush, lightly press brush into shaved powder and tap off any excess. To brighten and illuminate the face, apply a light dusting to the cheeks, nose and the center of the face. For an all-over luminous look, sweep onto neck and decolletage or all over the body. Can be used alone or over your favorite Stila foundation.
Ingredients:
Thoughts: I know this is going to sound foolish, but at least I'm honest! :X The reason I bought this is because it shaves the product. Not only does it shave, but it shaves three colors together. I thought it's pretty cool and it sold me.

Before I talk about the product, let's talk about the packaging.
It's a simple, round compact. Since the compact is shiny, it takes fingerprints especially after you apply lotion. On the pro side, you can wipe the fingerprints off with cloth. It's not permanent. I also think it's kind of bulky.
When you open the compact, it has a mirror which you can see from the first picture. It also has a clear shaver that you turn clockwise. If you look carefully at the picture, you should be able to see two arrows.
After you turn the shaver clockwise, it will shave the baked trio and will get finely milled powder. Isn't that cool!?!? Here's how the powder looks like.
Here's a swatch of the powder. It makes a great highlighter especially above your cheekbones.

Since the compact is so bulky, there's a lot of space inside between the shaver to the mirror. Whenever I open the compact, I notice powder everywhere. It can get messy. Then again you can just use a brush to clean the powder and apply it onto your skin.
Here's how it looks on me. I applied it on top of my blush, cheekbones. I also applied it on my nose and forehead, but my shininess from sweat (it was extremely hot this day) over powered the powder.

Now for what I thought about this product... I think it's cool to own. It also illuminates your face. If you're darker than myself, MAC foundation in NC30, I don't think it'll show up on you. I think this product is better for fair to medium skin tone. It gives off a glow but not overly noticeable. I like it's more on the natural side but not too natural that you do not notice it on you. I can't say if it lasted all day since I blotted my face like crazy these past couple of days from heat. It's insanely hot nowadays *sigh*! Even though I'm not 100% sure it last all day long, I can tell it's actually a decent product. In my opinion, it will last all day long if you have dry skin. If you're oily, I doubt it from my experience from sweat. I also like that the three colors are mixed to work together, warms and highlight at the same time.

Pros:
* Stila; a brand I trust.
* Simple packaging.
* Comes with a mirror.
* Three in one; warms, highlights, brightens and illuminates.
* Shaves the product.
* Finely milled powder, velvety finish.
* Vitamin E and jojoba oils.
* Hypo-allergenic.
* Paraben-free.
* Last all day if dry skin.

Cons:
* Bulky.
* Powder spreads inside the compact.
* Does not come in a variety.

Would repurchase: Yes, but I think it'll last me a long time.

I haven't been posting my nail swatches, because I feel that it's hard to see at times. If you disagree and you want my nail swatches, please tell me and I will continue. I decided I will do nail of the week (NOTW) so you can see the nail polishes, as well as, how it applies on my nails.
This is OPI in Don't Melbourne The Toast. It's actually an old NOTW. I think a month ago. I also believe it's a discontinued color, but you can still purchase it on ebay and Amazon. I found it in the clearance bin. I find the color really pretty! The color is hard to describe, but there's finely milled glitters.
