Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!!! I hope you guys get everything you wish for, get to eat good food, and be surrounded by love ones. :)
Tobey, Santa's elf, wishes everyone a good Christmas as well! :) Yes, this is a recycle picture from long time ago, but I can't resist. I just love this picture! He looks so adorable... hehe~ :D

Edit: Since I posted this up to now, I don't know what exactly happened. I know some of you guys read the post and some might not. If you haven't read it, then it's a good thing... hehe~ For the people who read it, I'm as clueless as you... lol~ I really do regret posting it!!! I will leave at that... hehe~ :X

I will say one thing though. Friends are there to listen and give advice. Sometimes they give you an advice you don't like, but they do it because they care. If you can't take the advice, you don't just remove them out of your life without a reason or talk. True friends are there through thick and thin. There will be arguments and disagreements, but you talk about it. That's how people grow!!!

Karmin Salon Pro G3 Salon Pro Touramaline Hair Straightening Flat Iron

About a month ago I did a pre-post about "Flat Irons and What You Think About Them?" For strangers who are new to flat irons, as well as people who are in search of new flat irons; there are a list of top rated flat irons. The best flat iron from the list is Karmin G3 Salon Pro Touramaline Hair Straightening Flat Iron.
I was lucky enough to receive this flat iron to review on my blog. :) It came in a black box.
Inside the box, it came with a sleek flat iron with instruction. Now I had this for some time, I think it's about time I review it... hehe~
Product Review: Karmin Salon Pro G3 Salon Pro Tourmaline Hair Straightening Flat Iron

Where can you purchase this: Hair Products Pro website
Price: $129.95 with free shipping

Made in China

Description on the website: Introducing the New Karmin G3 Salon Pro Hair Styling Iron, the Ultimate Hair Styling Tool. Whether you choose to curl, flip, straighten or add volume and body, the G3 is the only stying iron you will ever need. The Karmin Salon Pro is perfect for both the professional as well as home users with features such as flash quick heating, a tangle-free swivel cord and temperature settings for all hair types. Styling your hair is virtually effortless and results are smooth, silky, shiny hair. The ceramic plates are infused with tourmaline which together work to produce more negative ions. Negative ions work to seal the hairs cuticle for smoother, frizz free results as well as lock in moisture, protect color and add shine to your hair. Infrared heat works to heat the heat the hair from the inside out providing healthier styling, less damage and faster styling.
My thoughts: To be honest, I was in debate about getting a flat iron since I have straight hair. Of course, it's not super, duper straight but good enough... hehe~ I thought it didn't hurt since most of the time I take a shower at nights and sleep on my head. I wake up in the morning and it's more wavy than straight. I thought it'll be nice to straighten that up... hehe~ :)
Here's how my hair looks normally. By the way, I didn't attend Boston University. It's a sweatshirt given to me by my sister-in-law... hehe~ Before I show the end results, I want to talk about the flat iron. It's a gorgeous, shiny, very sleek looking, black with on/off and adjustable temperature buttons. I noticed all the flat irons or mostly the recent ones have the on/off and adjustable temperature buttons next to the ceramic plates. I don't know why to be honest. It's not a bother but I worry towards the end with my clumsiness, I might touch the plates... lol~ :X Even though the flat iron is shiny and sleek looking, you will never see fingerprints on it. That is a plus! :)

Speaking of on/off and adjustable buttons, I love that there are degrees of temperature. The lightest is 180 and the hottest is 450. If you have thin hair, I definitely don't recommend 450. For someone like me with thick hair, 450 is fine... hehe~ To be honest, I prefer the 450 for the quick straightening. I cold straighten my hair within 5-10 minutes... wheee~

I love that the flat iron has a swivel cord! I have old curling irons and hair dryers (I need a new one!) without swivel cords. Let me tell you it's a hot mess... lol~ Without swivel cords, the cords get tangle up and it's hard to untangle *sigh*.

I also noticed the ceramic plates move while you squeeze it. I use to own a cheap flat iron until I gave it to my friend (it's still good by the way). You cannot move the plates. Maybe because it's not ceramic... hehe~ Having movable plates is a good thing because it's easy to use on the hair.

Now for the hair results...
Here's the result after straightening it! It's very sleek, straight, and shiny. I love how quick you can straighten your hair!... wheee~ Before straightening it, I used a heat protection spray from TRESemme. I love that spray! It smells so good on my hair. :) Don't forget to use a heat protection spray before you straighten your hair!!! ;)
After I straightened my hair, I wanted to see the results of curling it. I didn't want major curls but more on the wavy side like a lot of Asian celebrities and models. It came out good but I couldn't take good pictures of it... hehe~ Sorry! This is the best one out of all the pictures I took. :X

Pros:
* Sleek,shiny black color flat iron; it looks professional.
* Movable ceramic plates.
* Different degrees of temperature, 180-450.
* Swivel cord.
* It straightens hairs decently and quickly.
* It curls really well.

Cons:
* On/off and temperature button next to the ceramic plates.

Would I buy this again: Yes, but I hope I don't have too. I hope it lasts a long time... hehe~
Rating:   4/5 Tobey's Paws

Thank you and I really did love the flat iron!!! :)

Yes to Cucumbers Wipes, Lip Products, and Bag

I'm going to finally review the makeup wipes I received in the swag bag from the Beautylish event... hehe~
Product Review: Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes

Where can you purchase this: drugstores, retail stores, and online
Price: I'm not too sure since I received this for free (10 travel towelettes)

Made in California

Description on the front: Yes to cucumbers and aloe vera to cleanse, remove makeup, and nourish skin... all in one swipe!
Ingredients:
My thoughts: I was really excited to receive this in the swag bag. I was at the process of using Up & Up wipes, did a review for these as well, and it wasn't doing justice for me. This came at the perfect time!... hehe~

The first thing I did is smell the product. It's suppose to smell like cucumber but in my opinion, it doesn't smell like cucumber to me. It smells like some kind of flower. :/ I'm not to keen on the smell, but at least the smell doesn't last that long!!!... hehe~

After smelling it, I used it. I was shocked to see the size of the wipes!!! It's 3/4 of the size of most wipes I have used... hehe~ I was worried if it would clean everything and let me tell you it does! In all honesty and after using these wipes, I wonder why others are that big. I think this size is perfect and the original size are too big. It's kind of a waste of wipes... lol~ :X
The quality of these wipes are pretty decent! It really removes makeup well. I haven't had any issues. In the picture, I only swiped it once.

Pros:
* Yes to Cucumbers; organic brand.
* Cruelty free company.
* Travel size; easy to carry around.
* The wipes are 3/4 of the size of the original.
* Removes makeup well.
* Refreshing.
* Doesn't dry out fast.

Cons:
* Smells like flower; I'm more a fruity girl.

Would I buy this again: To be honest, no. I just can't stand the smell. :X

I have two lip products I have never posted. I bought both of them quite a few months ago... hehe~ My bad! :X
The first lip product is a Rimmel lipstick in #022 Nostalgia. This is my second lipstick from this line. The first one is Pink Blush.
Here's a swatch of the lipstick. I think it's gorgeous! :) Now I want Airy Fairy and Crush... hehe~
This is my second lip product. It's Revlon lipgloss in #180 Pink Pop. I own two others from this product, Coral Reef and Firecracker.
Here's a swatch of the lipgloss. It's such a pretty Barbie pink color! :)

I'm going to end this post with a bag I got several months ago... hehe~ :X I went to a QVC taping a long, long, long time ago and they were kind enough to give the audience members gift certificate to QVC. I finally used it to get a bag for myself... hehe~
I got a brown Kathy Van Zeeland bag. I love the details and the charm. :)
It also came with a makeup bag. It has a mirror on one side.

Disclaimer: The products mentioned in this post are bought with my own money except for the wipes and bag. I got the wipes from a swag bag and the bag from a gift certificate I received. I am not affiliated with any company nor getting paid to advertise any products. This post is written with my honest opinion.

Make Up For Ever Blush, N.Y.C. Blushes, and Chococat

I bought two MUFE blushes during the Sephora Friends & Family sale. I think it's about time I review one of them... hehe~
Product Review: Make Up For Ever High Definition Blush in #5 Nip Slip

Where can you purchase this: Sephora and Sephora website
Price: $25 for 0.33 fl oz/10mL (I got mine 20% off during the sale)

Made in France

Description on the back: HD Complexion Collection was developed using high performance formulas to create a new generation of make up invisible to high definition cameras and the naked eye.

HD Microfinish Blush is a cream blush that naturally sculpts and highlights the cheeks for a healthy glow. Sericite and cellulose powder create a "soft focus" effect for a radiant complexion. Its ultra-fine, second skin texture blends seamlessly and glides on effortlessly for an easy application. Formulated with specially selected pigments, HD Microfinish Blush comes in a range of pure, luminous colors.
Ingredients:
My thoughts: I've been wanting this since it came out, but I guess not enough since I held out for the sale... hehe~ :X My first initial reaction is "Hot dang it's so small!" I mean I saw this at the Sephora in the past, but I never realized it was that small. Either I'm not observant or I'm going crazy. It can go both ways... lol~ :X
I like the idea it comes in a pump! Most cream blushes I have seen comes in a container or in a tube like NYC cream blushes. The idea of using a pump makes me realize how sanitary this product is. That's one good thing about this product, but on the other hand, you don't have the choice of how much you use the product... hehe~ It might bother some people, but it actually doesn't bother me... hehe~ I haven't had bad experience yet. :X
On the website, they say the color is neutral pink. I have to agree and it's a gorgeous pink. I love that it doesn't have sparkles or metallic color to it. It's good to have mixture of blushes and I needed some cream blushes with no extra shine... hehe~
Here's how the blush looks on me. Please excuse my bad quality of picture taking... hehe~ :X For some reason, I can't seem to get the true colors of the blushes and lip products on camera. If you have any suggestion, please tell me! :)

I also think these type of blushes are more for normal to dry skin people. If you have oily skin, I don't think any cream products will last a long time. Since I have dry skin, these blushes last all day for me... wheee~

Pros:
* Cute packaging.
* It comes in a pump making it sanitary.
* Love the color!
* Easy to apply on the cheeks.
* It last all day for me.

Cons:
* Pretty small.
* You don't have a choice of how much the product will pump.
* If you have oily skin, I don't suggest cream blushes.

Would I buy this again: Yes.

Speaking of cream blushes, I bought two more N.Y.C Creme Stick several months ago. I also did a review on these blushes.
I bought one in #644U Plaza Pink.
The other one I bought is in #645U Big Apple Blush.
Here are the swatches from left to right. The left one is Plaza Pink, the middle is Big Apple Blush, and I decided to compare to my first one I bought in Pink Flash.

I'm going to end with my Chococat watch I got from McDonald's.... wheee~
This is one of the watches I wanted and Hello Kitty. I might give up on the Hello Kitty one since it's hard to find. :( Oh well, at least I tried... hehe~

Cosline Ice Mask, NYX Lipglosses, and Empty Product

I apologize for not being good with blogging the last two weeks!!! The first week, Thanksgiving, I had family over. Last week (still this week for me while I type... hehe~), things came upon that I had to handle. Sorry!

I bought this sheet mask, Cosline Inside Refrigerator Ice Mask, from the Korean Festival I attended in October. I tried it last month but I didn't have a chance to review it on my blog. I always say it's better late than never... hehe~ ;)
Product Review: Cosline Inside Refrigerator Ice Mask in Green Tea

Where can you purchase this: I bought mine from a booth at the Korean Festival. I am in search for these! If you know where to get it, PLEASE tell me... hehe~
Price: $2

Made in Korea

Description on the back: It is "magic cooling system" of cooling mask sheet manufactured instant refrigerant function. Contained green tea, herb mint, LS 8865 etc. It will give tension to the lengthening skin also tighten pore perfectly.
Ingredients:
It's written in Korean... lol~ I thought it'll be nice to see the back of the packaging. :P

My thoughts: First of all, I apologize for the extremely bad English!... hehe~ Whenever they translate Korean to English, they try to translate word by word instead of the meaning of the sentence. :/ Now back to my review... hehe~ I'm always in search for new sheet masks. I am a newbie compared to a lot of beauty bloggers. It's all good because I am learning!... wheee~ For that reason, I don't own many. I am going to be really honest... hehe~ I've had the same results with all the sheet masks I have tried. I really don't know which ones are mediocre or really great. :X All the masks I have tried gave me plumpness that night and the following morning. Other than that, I don't know what I am suppose to look for. :/ PLEASE tell me!... hehe~

So on the day of the Korean Festival, I wanted to buy some more since I was in need of some more masks. I probably have less than 10 even at the moment... hehe~ While I was searching through the masks, the young lady who works at the booth was recommending Ice Mask to this older lady customer. She said it is a lot better than the $1 sheet masks and it's really good for aging skin. Yes, I am one of those girls who listen to other people's conversation. I know it's bad but I would like to know what is good or not... hehe~ :X That sold me!... wheee~

Now I know why this masks cost more than the $1 ones. I have to say this is one of the best sheet masks I have tried!!! The plumpness not only lasted that night and the following morning, but I saw it almost the whole week. Since I have dry skin and I hate to admit this, I have some wrinkles around my eyes! :( Most sheet masks I see it gone for a day and then it comes back. The Ice Mask I saw it gone for a whole week and even the pores on my nose, I have huge ones that foundation creeps in, was smaller. The results was amazing!!! :) Now I can't seem to find this anywhere... lol~

Anyways, you are probably and I know I was the day I bought it wondering how is it ice mask. The young lady at the booth told me to put it in the refrigerator and then try it afterwards. That's how I used it, but my sister-in-law read the back of the instruction and no you don't have to use it that way... hehe~ Basically in the front there's a circle with the word "PUSH," you push that and you should hear a crack. Once it cracks, you shake the packaging for 3 minutes. It's suppose to melt the ice inside the packaging.
I don't know if you see it but inside the packaging there's a clear plastic wrap with ice inside it. I still have the open packaged and there's ice still. :/ The sheet is the same with all sheet masks; you unfold and put it on your face. It really makes sense you want to put coldness on your face to decrease the pores. The warmth, shower, opens the pores and cold decreases it... hehe~

Pros:
* The packaging is unique and adorable; love the blue.
* The results are great!
* Plumpness for about a week.
* Minimize the wrinkles for about a week.
* Decrease in pores; tightness.
* It warms up to your skin pretty quick.

Cons:
* Hard to find unless you're in Korea.
* The sheet masks can be cold in the beginning especially during the winter weather.

Would I buy this again: Yes, yes, yes!!! If only I could find it... hehe~

Couple of weeks ago, my friend and I bought some more NYX lip products... hehe~ We both got the round lipglosses. I got two.
The first one is #28 Whipped.
The second one is #34 Real Nude.
Here are the swatches of the lipglosses. The left one is Whipped and the right one is Real Nude. I own three other lipglosses from the round collection. You should check out the swatches... hehe~

I only finished one product this month. Here's my "Empty Products for the Month of November."
Beauty Secrets Acetone Nail Polish Remover

I bought this from Sally Beauty, and it lasted about a year I think or a little longer. I remember buying this to put it in a nail polish container I received in a swap. Thank you Miracle! The container is getting good use... hehe~ :) After I finished this product, I bought the exact same one... hehe~ You know what I think of this. ;)
