Another Mushroom Side Dish (ban chan)

I've been in a mushroom kick recently... lol~ Check out my first recipe with king mushroom. Today's recipe has to do with these type of mushrooms.
I used both of them in the dish. I hope you guys like it as much as I do... hehe~ :)

If you need some guidance with the ingredients, you can check my Korean Cooking 101. ;)

Ingredients:
olive oil
chopped garlic
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1/2 onion
mushrooms from the top (don't know the names); both
1 spoonful soup noodle base or soy sauce
pinch of garlic salt
pinch of black pepper
sesame seeds

Step 1:
In a frying pan, I added olive oil and chopped garlic. Once the pan got hot, I added red and green bell peppers.
While cooking the bell peppers, I chopped onion and threw that in.
While cooking, I washed both mushrooms and cut off the bottoms. Then threw that in.
When everything is at the point of being cooked, I add soup noodle base. You can replace the soup noodle base for soy sauce. Just be warned with soy sauce, the dish will be darker. I like the light taste of soup noodle base, therefore, I use that over soy sauce. I also added a pinch of garlic salt and black pepper.
Then added the dish onto a plate and topped it off with sesame seeds. You can eat this with kim-chi and rice. :)

I made this dish again, but I added two more ingredients compared to the top; potato and fish cakes.
The first ingredient you want to do is potato since it takes the longest to cook. You can add the fish cake before the mushrooms. I hope you guys like it as much as I did!... hehe~ :)

I love mushroom dishes!! that dish looks super tasty right now. I wish i had your cooking skills. I just tried to make earl grey cupcakes and it took forever and i think i either put too much flour or baked them for too long =[

your mushroom dish looks yummy. that with fishcakes seems yummy too. :) mushrooms, tomatoes, and potatoes are three of my favorite veggies. hehehe... :D

yeah, i think i remember you mentioned smooth away over the phone. i didn't see that review yet until you mentioned it, so i checked it out. lol.

yup, too bad that one girl who tried it had a bad reaction to it. i'm glad it worked out fine for you. it's just too bad all those circular motions with the crystal pads can get tiring and tedious. i know my hands will get tired.

oh yeah, have you gone to walmart yet? i haven't tried my intergalactic shadow yet. maybe i will tomorrow or on friday. i'll let you know my thoughts on it. :D i wish there was more of a color selection at my walmart. i'm assuming everyone liked it and there were only two colors left.

ah. you did not cut our phone conversation short at all. hehe... i had a lot of fun and yeah, you can tell we had a lot of fun talking and it lasted for hours. :D

lol. same here. i've been physically tired too. it probably must be the heat. sometimes, too much heat can be draining. i can imagine it must be crazy hot there too.

the medication is going pretty good. it's helping me not sweat the small things and i've been getting better sleep with it. it just makes me exhausted though, but it's a lot better than being stressed.

lol. i guess taste buds do change as one gets older. i did not like mushrooms either as a kid. for me, not so much the taste. it was the appearance that i didn't like. i don't know what got me to like mushrooms though. oh, i didn't like pickles either. now i'm okay with them. they're not my favorite, but i can tolerate them. hehe...

i sure can tell you love mushrooms now. your mushroom dishes look very delicious. :D

darn. sorry to hear the walmart at your brother's place does not have the meteor glitter e/s. maybe there are no shipments yet. i hope they'll be there soon. our walmart did carry them, but there were only two colors left last time i checked. hahaha...

talking on the phone on weekends will be great. i'm free on weekend nights, so i'm available to talk. it sure was a lot of fun. and yes, i can imagine weekdays being very tiring. take care. :)

Hey girl, it was a free event opened to the public. I found out about it through a friend who read about it online. Hope your weekend's going well :D
